"To the Glory of God and in grateful memory of the men from the parish
of Allerston who fell in the Great War."

Private William Atkinson, 243464. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire
Regiment. Husband of Dorothy Atkinson, of 6, East Powlett St., Darlington. Killed
14 July 1918. Aged 23.
Buried PERNES BRITISH CEMETERY.
Born Pickering, Enlisted Pickering.
Private Frank Moment, 29972 10th Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment,
formerly 22672 Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Frank and Hannah Moment, of Warren
House, Allerston, Pickering. Killed on 11 November 1918. Aged 25.
Buried TERLINCTHUN BRITISH CEMETERY, WIMILLE.
Born Bridlington, Enlisted Scarborough, Resided Pickering.
Corporal Henry Clifford Stephenson, 15984 9th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment.
Killed on 20 September 1916.
Commemorated Pier and Face 3 A and 3 D, Thiepval Memorial.
Born Scarborough,Enlisted Scarborough.
Private George Wood, 20527 10th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of William
Henry and Mary Hannah Wood, of Allerston, Pickering, Yorks. Killed on 7 October
1917. Aged 27.
