This First World War Memorial is situated inside the Beverley Memorial Hall and commemorates the names of 145 men who fell. It is a record of those men who belonged to the Beverley District Branch of the Independent Order of Oddfellows, The Manchester Unity Friendly Society.

The Beverley Memorial Hall is situated on Lairgate (the A164 road). The building has been converted from a redundant church and was opened for community use in 1959.

Amongst the names listed are 35 soldiers who served with the Yorkshire Regiment.

We are very grateful to Vic Ellis of the Beverley Memorial Hall for allowing us to use his photographs of the memorial.
