The War Memorial for Bodedern is on the outside (North facing) wall of the Bodedern Village Hall. The Hall is located to the North East of the village on the B5109.

The names of 18 men who lost their lives in the First World War are commemorated on the memorial. Beneath the First World War Memorial is one for the Second World War on which 2 men are commemorated.

One man who served with the Yorkshire Regiment is shown on this memorial.



Private Owen Jones. 35044. 13th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Formerly 36731 Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Died 13 April 1918.
Born Bodedern (Anglesey), Enlisted Menai Bridge, Resided Bodedern Valley (Anglesey).
Commemorated on Panel 4, PLOEGSTEERT MEMORIAL.
