There are two War Memorial plaques inside the Church of St.Mary, Bolton-on-Swale. The Upper plaque commemorates 15 men from the parish who lost their lives in the First World War. The lower plaque commemorates 4 men who lost their lives in the Second World war, and 3 from subsequent conflicts.

The First World War Memorial plaque is inscribed;-

Born Scorton (Yorks), Enlisted Scorton.

Company Quartermaster Sergeant Charles Burini, 7510. 2nd Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Lewis and Maria Burini, of Scorton, Darlington. Native of Malton, Yorks. Died 20 March 1915. Aged 23.
Buried BOULOGNE EASTERN CEMETERY.
Born Malton, Enlisted Richmond (Yorks), Resided Scorton (Darlington).

Private Tom Carrick, 28402. 6th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mr. G. W. Carrick, of Crakehill, Topcliffe, Thirsk, Yorks. Died 10 August 1917. Aged 24.
Buried BRANDHOEK NEW MILITARY CEMETERY.
Born Bolton-on-Swale, Enlisted Northallerton, Resided Stanton (Langton, Northallerton)

Private William Fishburn, 3013. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of George William and Sarah Ann Fishburn, of Great Langton-on-Swale, Northallerton, Yorks. Died 12 March 1916. Aged 20.
Buried ETAPLES MILITARY CEMETERY.
Enlisted Darlington, Resided Scorton.

2nd Lieutenant Edward Earle Jones. 4th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Edward and Anna Jones, of The Manor House, Scorton, Yorks. Wounded 2nd Battle of Ypres, 1915. Died 1 August 1916. Aged 25.
Buried BAILLEUL COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION (NORD).

Private Frederick Thompson, 24460. 8th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Died 15 October 1916.
