The War Memorial for Bredbury and Romiley is situated between George Lane and Berrycroft Lane in Bredbury.

The memorial commemorates the names of 87 Bredbury men who fell in the First World War and 31 men who fell in the Second World War. The memorial also commemorates 57 Romiley men who fell in the First World War and 33 men from Romiley who fell in the Second World War.

One Yorkshire Regiment soldier from Romiley is commemorated on the memorial.

Private Harry Hibbert. 10509. 2nd Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Joseph and Sarah Alice Hibbert, of 44, Stockport Rd., Romiley, Cheshire. Killed 15 June 1915. Aged 19.
Born Stockport, Enlisted Eastbourne, Resided Romiley (Cheshire)
Commemorated on Panel 12, LE TOURET MEMORIAL.
