The War Memorial for Brough with Elloughton And Welton is located
at the crossroads in Brough where Skillings Lane meets Welton Road.
The memorial is a simple shaft and cross, behind which is a wall on which
are mounted 3 commemorative plaques. Two of the plaques (left-hand and right-hand)
commemorate 39 men who lost their lives in the First World War. The central
plaque commemorates 15 men who lost their lives in the Second World War.
Richard Roberts (<richard.nsw@googlemail.com>) has provided a transcription of all the names on these plaques.
1 soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on the memorial.

33.
Born Brough (Yorks), Enlisted Hull, Resided Welton (Yorks).
Buried LIJSSENTHOEK MILITARY CEMETERY.
