In 1927 Brunner Mond became Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI).
The War Memorial for Brunner Mond Employees faces Winnington Hall, Winnington, Cheshire. Winnington Hall used to be the Managers' Club for ICI. The Hall is now a restaurant. It is close to the main entrance to the Winnington works.
The inscription on the monument is worn, and in places difficult to read. The First World inscription that is on CarlsCam's website was taken from a transcription in the Brunner Mond 50th Anniversary Book published in 1923. The inscription for the Second World War has not been transcribed.
We are very grateful to CarlsCam for permission to use the data on this memorial.
