The War Memorial for Bulwell (Notts), stands in front of St Mary the Virgin and All Souls' Church. The church is located off Highbury Road, Bulwell.

The names of 322 men who fell in the First World War are commemorated on a bronze wall plaque behind the memorial. A separate plaque commemorates the names of 140 men who fell in the Second World War.

One soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on the memorial for Bulwell, Notts.

Although there is a "J Hames" who served with the Yorkshire Regiment and who is buried in the Bulwell (St. Mary Churchyard), the memorial commemorates a "J W Hames" who the records show to have been a Corporal John William Hames who served with the Sherwood Foresters and who was killed on 25 March 1918.

Private Herbert Haydn Wilmot. 47903. 12th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 223047 R E. Son of Mary Ann Wilmot, of 39, Highbury Avenue, Bulwell, Nottingham, and the late Curtis Wilmot. Killed 14 April 1918. Aged 26.
Born Nottingham, Enlisted Nottingham.
Buried BOULOGNE EASTERN CEMETERY.
