Two soldiers who served with the Yorkshire Regiment are commemorated on the memorial for Bungay, Suffolk.
Private Herbert Freestone. 4888. Depot, the Yorkshire
Regiment. Son of Jacob and Mary Ann Freestone; husband of Julia Edith Freestone,
of 6, Castle Orchard, Bungay. Died at home 27 July 1917. Aged 41.
Born Bungay, Enlisted Bury St. Edmunds, Resided Bungay (Suffolk).
Buried BUNGAY CEMETERY.
