The War Memorial for Burgh le Marsh is situated in the churchyard
of St. Peter and St. Paul's Church, Burgh le Marsh. The memorial is in the
form of a crucifix set on an octagonal plinth and square base.
The names commemorated are inscribed in black lettering on seven of the sides
of the plinth.
The names of those who lost their lives in the First World War (32) are inscribed
on six of the eight panels on the plinth. 3 of these sides have very clear
(restored?) lettering commemorating the names of those who lost their lives.
The other 3 sides have considerably faded and worn lettering on them.
The names of those who lost their lives in the Second World War (3) are inscribed
on one of the eight panels on the plinth. The names, though, are barely legible.
