10th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Husband of F. T. Clark, of Upper Hartwell, Aylesbury. Died at home 23 June 1920. Aged 47.
Born Gateshead, Enlisted Middlesbrough, Resided Aylesbury (Bucks).

(The Service Record of John Robert Clark exists. From this we can see that;-
He had previously served 12 years with the 2nd Battalion, the Yorkshire Regiment. In 1897 he was a Shoemaker in Cawnpore, India.
He enlisted on 1 September 1914, was promoted to Corporal on 14 October 1914 and Serjeant on 20 April 1915.
He served in France from 9 September 1915 to 3 December 1916, but in that time was demoted to Corporal due to being absent without leave. He was discharged on 4 April 1919 due to pulmonary phthisis (TB). His wife was Fanny Seaton Clark, and they had two children, - Fanny and John Robert.)
