Born Brompton, Enlisted Northallerton, Resided Brompton.

Private James E Neesam. 38449

  Private James E Neesam. 38449. 157th Provisional Coy. Royal Defence Corps, formerly 3890 4th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of George and Alice Neesam, of Brompton; husband of Elizabeth Neesam, of High End, Brompton. Died at home 19 January 1918. Aged 38.
Not shown in SDGW, but is recorded in the Medal Index Cards.

Private Neesam's headstone is located under a tree and close to some dense vegetation, making a direct frontal photograph very difficult.

  Sergeant Gordon Smith Tyerman. 9594. 2nd Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, transferred to 477075 125th Coy. Labour Corps. Died at home 22 February 1919.
Not shown in SDGW, but is recorded in the Medal Index Cards. Recorded in CWGC as "S G Tyerman". Was with the original 2nd Battalion who embarked on 5 October 1914.
