Jarrow Cemetery contains 41 First World War burials scattered throughout the cemetery. Of the 54 second World War burials, 15 form a group in Section 17.

One soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment is buried in this cemetery.

Husband of Eleanor Minnie Green, of 79, Tyne St., Jarrow.
Died at home 19 August 1920. Aged 46.

"PEACE PERFECT PEACE"

Private Green enlisted with the Yorkshire Regiment on the 9 September 1914, but was discharged on 26 February 1916 on the grounds of "sickness"
