Nottingham General Cemetery contains 344 Commonwealth War Graves, 332 of which are from the First World War.
Many of the burials were made from the Bagthorpe War Hospital, and other war hospitals in the city. More than 100 of these graves form a war plot, with the names of the dead inscribed on an adjoining Screen Wall.

Two burials where the names are recorded on the Screen Wall, behind a Cross of Sacrifice, are for men of the Yorkshire Regiment.
There is one burial in the general body of the cemetery for another soldier of the Yorkshire Regiment, who shares a headstone with a soldier of the Notts and Derby Regiment.

Details of the soldiers of the Yorkshire Regiment interred in Nottingham General Cemetery are shown under the photographs below.

We are very grateful to Richard Roberts (<richard@nosnailshere.co.uk>) for providing photographs and information on these soldiers.
