The War Memorial for Chatteris is located in front of St. Peter's Church.
It is in the form of a lantern cross made from stone.
The memorial commemorates 158 names for the First World War and 38 for the
Second World War. A full transcription of the dedication and of the names

One soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on this memorial.

Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Matthew and Annie Elizabeth Richardson, of 4, Burnsfield
St., Chatteris, Cambs. Killed 1 November 1917. Aged 21.
Enlisted Wisbech (Cambs), Resided Chatteris.
Commemorated on Panel 52 to 54 and 162A, TYNE COT MEMORIAL.
