The War Memorial, Coneysthorpe
The War Memorial, Coneysthorpe
Photo : Edward Nicholl

Coneysthorpe is just a short distance away from Castle Howard, and about 2 miles South of Slingsby.

The War Memorial for Coneysthorpe is on the South side of the village green. The names of the fallen are on the shaft of the cross. The base of the cross, - a square block, has a commemoration together with the names of those who served. There don't appear to be any names for men of the Yorkshire Regiment on this memorial.

The inscriptions on the memorial are as below.
