The War Memorial plaque in the Pear Tree Road Baptist Church, Derby, commemorates 20 names of those who lost their lives in the First World War and 6 for those who lost their lives in the Second World War. Amongst the names commemorated is that of a soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment.

4th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 5/37441 10th T R Battn. Son of Charles Frederick and Emma Celia Parker, of 149, Crewe St., Derby. Killed 15 May 1918. Aged 20.
Born Christchurch (Derby), Enlisted Derby.
Buried POINT-DU-HEM MILITARY CEMETERY.
(Crewe Street, where the Parker family lived, is a street that connects with Pear Tree Road and is very close to the church itself.)
