Richard Roberts (<richard.nsw@googlemail.com>) has forwarded a photo of the War Memorial in St. John's Church in Derby. This memorial includes the name of one soldier of the Yorkshire Regiment. Private Maurice Harold Edgar Allsop. 29716. 13th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 31411 Notts & Derby Regt. Son of Henry Archer Allsop and Ellen Allsop, of 13, Ashbourne Rd., Derby. Killed 9 April 1917. Aged 22.
Born Derby, Enlisted Derby.
Buried FINS NEW BRITISH CEMETERY, SOREL-LE-GRAND.
