Richard Roberts (<richard.nsw@googlemail.com>) has forwarded photos of the War Memorial outside St. Paul's Church in Chester Green, Derby.
There are 29 names from the Second World War commemorated on the memorial and 75 from the First World War. These latter names include Private George James Curley who is buried at Nottingham Road Cemetery, Derby. Private Curley's older brother, Lance Corporal Charles Edward Curley, who served with the Sherwood Foresters and was killed in action in France is also named on the memorial. They were the sons of James Charles and Hannah Elizabeth Curley of Chester Green Road, Derby.
