The First World War Memorial for Didsbury and Elm Grove National Schools,

The Didsbury and Elm Grove National Schools First World War Memorial is a stone tablet erected on one of the buildings that is now the Didsbury Primary School. Although the main entrance to Didsbury Primary School is in Elm Grove, the building on which this memorial is affixed is in Grange Lane (to the rear of the main buildings).
One soldier of the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on ths memorial.

and Alice Ann Fernley, of "Redcroft," Rochdale Rd., Middleton, Lancs.
Of West Didsbury, Manchester. Student at the College of Agriculture, Holmes
Chapel, Cheshire. Killed 18 April 1918. Aged 23.
Born Manchester (Lancs), Enlisted Manchester.
Buried LES BARAQUES MILITARY CEMETERY, SANGATTE.
