The Drighlington War Memorial had been in place since 1933 but was re-dedicated on Sunday 8th July 2012 after plaques bearing the names of those who died during the First and Second World Wars were added and a new cross erected. The memorial is located at the junction of Whitehall Road and Whitehall Grove.

The names of 62 men who died in the First World War are commemorated, including one Officer who served with the Yorkshire Regiment.

We are very grateful to Fred Ashworth for permission to use the photographs of the War Memorial.
