The War Memorial for Earby (Lancs)

The War Memorial for Earby is located in Sough Park, Earby.
A useful
website describes the history of this memorial, and includes a photo of
the initial dedication service when it was clear that this was carried out
in torrential rain.
There are four panels commemorating those who died in the First World War,
with a total of 166 names listed. One of the panels bears the names of 5 soldiers
who served with the Yorkshire Regiment.
We are very grateful to Susan Eldridge for permission to use her photographs of the memorial.
