(*) There are several "H Stephenson" names which might be the one here, but the most likely appears to be Private H Stephenson, 53916, of the Manchester Regiment.
Private George Herbert Huxley, 1583. 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Huxley, of Epping, Essex; husband of Martha Lillian Lythe
(formerly Huxley), of School Row, Rosedale East, Pickering, Yorks. Killed
17 September 1916. Aged 22.
Born Epping (North Wales), Enlisted Pickering.
Buried ST. PIERRE CEMETERY, AMIENS.
Private Christopher Martindale, 203844. 10th Battalion Yorkshire
Regiment. Son of William Martindale, of North Side Farm, Bickley, Hackness,
Scarborough, and the late Emily Martindale. Killed 4 October 1917. Aged 19.
Born Crosscliffe (Yorks), Enlisted Scarborough.
Commemorated Panel 52 to 54 and 162A, Tyne Cot Memorial.
Sergeant Thomas Mennell, 20740. 12th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment.
Son of Richard Mennell, of Bickley, Hackness, Scarborough. Killed 11 April
1918. Aged 22.
