The First World War Memorial for Eighton Banks in St. Thomas's Church is a marble plaque bearing the names of 74 men who died in the First World War

The dedication on the memorial is;-

To the Glory of God
AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH
WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR.

One soldier of the Yorkshire Regiment is commemorated on this memorial.

Private Isaac Lowery. 39164. 7th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of W. Lowery, of Gowland Square, Wrekenton, Gateshead-on-Tyne. Killed 4 April 1917.
Born Kimblesworth (Durham), Enlisted Gateshead, Resided Wrekenton.
Buried DUISANS BRITISH CEMETERY, ETRUN.
