The Etton War Memorial is located at the junction of Main Street and Cherry Burton Road, and is almost opposite the Light Dragoon public house. 50 names are commemorated on this memorial, and a transcription of the names is provided on the GENUKI website.
Two soldiers who served with the Yorkshire Regiment are commemorated on this memorial.
Private William George King, MM, 241065. 5th Battalion
the Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 28 March 1918. Aged 22.
Enlisted Beverley, Resided Etton (Nr. Beverley - Yorks).
Commemorated on Panel 31 and 32, POZIERES MEMORIAL.
Private Frank West. 29229. 4th Battalion the Yorkshire
Regiment. Son of Mrs. E. West, of Etton, Beverley, Yorkshire. Killed 5 June
1918.
Born Etton (Yorks), Enlisted Driffield.
Buried YUTZ EST OLD CEMETERY.
