The Memorial Plaque inside the Church of St. Oswald, Flamborough, is inscribed;-

THE SONS OF FLAMBOROUGH WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1918.

The names on the plaque are as below. However, it should be noted that some of the names ascribed as having served in the East Yorks Regiment in fact served with the Yorkshire Regiment. These names are highlighted in bold.

Captain Thomas Ernest Dufty. 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Arthur Richard and Kate Dufty, of Nottinghamshire; husband of Beatrice Dufty, of "Deepdale," Meads, Eastbourne. Killed 19 May 1917. Aged 35.
Buried VLAMERTINGHE MILITARY CEMETERY.

Private George Hunt, 265531. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 27 May 1918.
Born Pulham St. Mary's (Norfolk), Enlisted Bridlington, Resided Flamborough.
Buried VENDRESSE BRITISH CEMETERY.
