Richard Roberts (<richard.nsw@googlemail.com>) provides the following information on the War memorial for the City of Gloucester;-
"This memorial is situated at the entrance to Gloucester Park, Park Road, Gloucester. Full details of the memorial's commemorations can be found on www.glosgen.co.uk/gloucester/glosterwm.htm
Amongst the many names commemorated on the screen wall from both World Wars and the Korean War are two from the Yorkshire Regiment: Reginald Mark Dawe 35668 of the 5th Bn. and Reuben Bartrum Smith 42442 of the 13th Bn."
Private Reginald Mark Dawe. 35668. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment,
formerly 3967 Glos Yeomanry. Son of Mrs. E. Dawe, of 76, Milbourne St., Tredworth,
Gloucester. Killed 13 August 1918. Aged 28.
Born Gloucester, Enlisted Gloucester.
Buried ST. ERME COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION.
Private Reuben Bartrum Smith. 42442. 13th Battalion the Yorkshire
Regiment, formerly 183728 R F A. Husband of Clara Elizabeth Smith, of G, St.
Paul's Rd. (sic CWGC), Gloucester. Killed 23 November 1917. Aged 40.
Born Gloucester, Enlisted Gloucester.
