The Helmington Row War Memorial also includes names for Sunnybrow.
Both locations are just outside Crook, in County Durham.
The memorial contains names from both the First and Second World Wars. The
names from the First World War are on the main face; those for the Second
World War are on the right hand side. See photos below.
One man who served with the Yorkshire Regiment is named on this memorial.
Private George Thomas Wilkinson, 19945. 2nd Battalion the Yorkshire
Regiment. Died 4 September 1918.
Born Crook, Enlisted Stockton-on-Tees, Resided Eaglescliffe.
Buried VIS-EN-ARTOIS BRITISH CEMETERY, HAUCOURT.
