The First World War Memorial in the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in Heptonstall
commemorates 14 men who lost their lives in the war. The memorial also honours
62 men who served in the war. The chapel itself is located off North Lane
in the village.

Regiment. Formerly 31618 11th Cavalry Res. Son of Frank and Mary Elizabeth
Collinge, of Bridge Lanes, Hebden Bridge; husband of Lily Rogan (formerly
Collinge), of 3, Eton St., Hebden Bridge, Yorks. Killed 21 September 1917.
Aged 28.
Born Heptonstall (near Hebden Bridge), Enlisted Halifax, Resided Hebden Bridge.
Commemorated Panel 52 to 54 and 162A, TYNE COT MEMORIAL.
