Rachel Farrand (<farrand.rachel@btinternet.com<>) has kindly forwarded photos of the War Memorials in St. Luke's Church, Hickling (Notts). The photographs were taken for the United Kingdom War Memorials Project, who are happy that they be shown on this website, but copyright remains with Rachel Farrand.
Two soldiers who served with the Yorkshire Regiment are commemorated
on these memorials.
Rachel provides the following information on the memorials;-
"As well as the First World War Memorial tablet in the church, on which
the names of two men who served with the Yorkshire Regiment are recorded,
there is also a Roll of Honour and a memorial which was the WW1 memorial from
the village’s Wesleyan Methodist chapel. The chapel, I believe, closed
about 10-15 years ago and was converted into a residential property."
