St. Mary's Church, Horden, is located on Blackhills Road.
The First World War Memorial in St. Mary's Church, Horden, consists of three white marble panels in a black marble frame. The centre top has a slightly rounded edge which bears the words" To the unconquered" with the dates on either side, the lettering is carved and gilded. The names are listed in a single column on each panel in black sans serifs capitals.
166 names are commemorated as having lost their lives in the First World War.
26 names are those of soldiers who served in the Yorkshire Regiment.
