The War Memorial for Kearsley (Bolton) is located in Bolton Road, outside the Town Hall. The memorial is a Cross Of Sacrifice with a wall on three sides. The names of those commemorated (151 for the First World War and 61 for the Second World War) are on bronze plaques at the base of the cross.
Two soldiers who served in the Yorkshire Regiment are commemorated on this memorial.

Private Harry Ashton, 38835. 8th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son
of William Henry and Bertha Ashton, of 112, Grosvenor St., Kearsley, Farnworth,
Bolton. Killed 7 October 1917.
Born Farnworth (Bolton), Enlisted Yarmouth.
Commemorated on Panels 52 to 54 & 162A, TYNE COT MEMORIAL.
Serjeant Joseph Hamblett, 17431. 10th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment.
Son of Samuel and Maria Hamblett, of 6, St. Stephen's St., Kearsley, Farnworth,
Bolton. Killed 26 September 1915. Aged 24.
Born Kearsley (Manchester), Enlisted Newburn, Resided Kearsley.
