Private Thomas Lavender. 3/8567. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Husband of Alice Lavender, of 49, Shakespeare St., Middlesbrough. Served in the South African Campaign. Died 15 June 1915. Aged 47.

Private Samuel Lawson, 3/7714. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of John G. and Laura L. Lawson, of I, White Horse Yard, Church St., Whitby, Yorks. Killed 15 June 1915. Aged 20.

Private John Leatham. 3/8382. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Elizabeth Simpson (formerly Leatham), of 1, Convalescent St., Saltburn, and the late John Leatham; husband of Sarah Jane Leatham, of 2, Convalescent St., Saltburn. Died 12 March 1915. Aged 35.
