The War Memorial for Lincoln stands in St. Benedick's Square. There are over a thousand names commemorated from both World Wars including that of a Yorkshire Regiment casualty, Pte. Bert Marshall of the 7th Bn.


Private Bert Marshall. 38427. 7th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 20460 Sherwood Forseters. Killed 13 May 1917.
Born Lincoln, Enlisted Lincoln.
Commemorated Bay 5, Arras Memorial.
