The Marsh Lane, Derbyshire, War Memorial commemorates eight names from the FIrst World War . One of the names on this memorial is a soldier of the Yorkshire Regiment, - Charles Sydney Pearson.
John Pearson, a great nephew of Charles Sydney Pearson, has provided the photographs of this memorial. Additionally, on visiting Private Pearson's grave in the Bailleul Community Cemetery (Nord), John Pearson photographed the headstone. A photograph is shown below.
