The First World War Memorial in St.Giles' Church, Matlock, is comprised of wooden panels on which are carved the names of 185 of those who lost their lives in the First World War.
The names commemorated have been transcribed on the Derby and Derbyshire War Memorials Project website page for Matlock St. Giles' Church, with biographical data on many of the names.

Three soldiers who served with the Yorkshire Regiment are commemorated on the memorial.

We are very grateful to Richard Clarke and Chris Preston of the Derby and Derbyshire War Memorials Project for permission to use their image of this memorial.
