The Morcott War Memorial is situated in the churchyard of the Parish Church which is dedicated to St. Mary. One name of a soldier of the Yorkshire Regiment is recorded on this memorial.
The names of all the fallen are as below, together with the memorial's dedication;-

Private Edmund Alfred Joyce. 41100. 17th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment, formerly 30316 Leics Regiment. Son of John and Sarah Elizabeth Joyce, of Morcott, Born at Morcott. Killed in a training accident, 20 February 1917. Aged 20.
Born Morcott (Rutland), Enlisted Uppingham (Rutland).
Buried MORCOTT CHURCH CEMETERY.
