The War Memorial for New Barnet is situated at the junction of East Barnet Road and Approach Road. New Barnet was originally in Hertfordshire, but after boundary changes is now in the London Borough of Barnet.

The memorial consists of a tall stone obelisk with a bronze statue of an Angel of Peace on the top, on a globe. On the lower front of the obelisk is a lion carved in the stone, with beneath it the dedication. The names of 288 men who lost their lives in the First World War are commemorated on four stone panels at the base of the column.

Two soldiers who served with the Yorkshire Regiment are commemorated on the memorial.
