This particular War Memorial used to be located in the "Loggerheads" Public House, 59 Cliff Road, Nottingham. On the outside of the pub was a Calvary. Both were erected by the landlady of the pub at the end of the First World War.
When the pub was closed and sold, the War Memorial and the Calvary were transferred to St. Mary's Church, Nottingham, and were rededicated on 11 November 2011.

Photos of this War Memorial can be found on the Nottinghamshire County Council Roll of Honour website, together with a transcription of the names commemorated. Photographs of the memorial are by Rachel Farrand with whom the copyright remains.
