The War Memorial in All Saints' Church, Old Byland

Although only two soldiers are commemorated on the All Saints' Church War Memorial, it is not 100% clear as to exactly who the two soldiers were. From Soldiers Died in the Great War, there were two soldiers with the names that are commemorated who came from reasonably near by. It is assumed, therefore, that they are the names commemorated.
Private Walter Dickinson. 3632. 5th Battalion Yorkshire
Regiment. Killed 14 June 1916. Enlisted - Scarborough, Resided Scorton, Thirsk.
Buried LINDENHOEK CHALET MILITARY CEMETERY.
(Resided "Scorton", Thirsk would appear to be a spelling mistake.
The hamlet of Scawton is only 1 mile away from Old Byland.)
(George Dickinson may be Private George William Dickinson, 4129, of the London Regiment. Resided Thirsk.)
