The brass plaque is inscribed;-
"FOR THE HONOUR OF GOD AND IN THANKFUL MEMORY OF THE VICTORIOUS EFFORTS OF BRITAIN AND HER ALLIES IN THE CAUSE OF LIBERTY AND RIGHT AND OF ALL IN THIS PARISH WHO SERVED THEIR COUNTRY ESPECIALLY THOSE RECORDED BELOW WHO SEALED THEIR LOVE BY DEATH IN THE GREAT WAR A D 1914 - 1918 THE PEAL OF BELLS WAS COMPLETED THE CHIMES AND THIS RECORD WERE PLACED IN THIS HOUSE OF GOD."
