The brass plaque is inscribed;-
"FOR THE HONOUR OF GOD AND IN THANKFUL MEMORY OF THE VICTORIOUS EFFORTS
OF BRITAIN AND HER ALLIES IN THE CAUSE OF LIBERTY AND RIGHT AND OF ALL IN
THIS PARISH WHO SERVED THEIR COUNTRY ESPECIALLY THOSE RECORDED BELOW WHO SEALED
