Lance Corporal Albert Landess. 241465. 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Daniel and Harriet Landess, of 13, Lamport St., Middlesbrough. Died 12 April 1918. Aged 19.
Enlisted Middlesbrough.

Private Harry Stanley Lane. 35200. 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Formerly 35455 9th T R Battalion. Son of Harry and Ellen Lane, of 84, Blue Bell Hill, Nottingham. Died 11 April 1918. Aged 18.
Born Nottingham, Enlisted Nottingham.

Private Charles William Lang. 20519. 6th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Albert James and Annie Lang, of 5, Wolfreton Lane, Springhead, Anlaby, Hull. Died 22 August 1916. Aged 19.
Born Hull, Enlisted Beverley (Yorks), Resided Hull.

Private Frederick William Lansdell. 235253. 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of the late Walter and Harriett Lansdell; husband of Lily Alice Dennington (formerly Lansdell), of 172, Northumberland St., Norwich. Died 11 April 1918. Aged 38.
Born Great Melton, Enlisted Norwich, Resided Norwich.

Lance Serjeant Edward Harrison Laws, MM. 13498. 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Joseph Laws, of 42, 11th St., Blackhall Colliery, Castle Eden, Co. Durham, and the late Mary Laws. Died 11 April 1918. Aged 24.
Born Ryhope (Durham), Enlisted Sunderland, Resided Ryhope.

2nd Lieutenant George William Lawson. 10th Bn. attd. 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Louisa Lawson, of Danes Cote, Flamborough, and the late William Lawson. Died 11 April 1918. Aged 25.

Private Wilson Leason. 250672. 1st/8th Battalion the Durham Light Infantry, formerly 28668 the Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 9 April 1918.
Enlisted Scarborough.

Private Frank Lee. 42392. 4th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Formerly 18331 R F A. Father of Ellen Lee, of 24, Orwell Rd., Coventry. Died 12 April 1918. Aged 40.

Private Fred Lees. 35202. 5th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Formerly 35658 9th T R Battalion. Son of Harry and Martha Hannah Lees, of 7, Grange Avenue, Marsden, Huddersfield. Died 11 April 1918. Aged 18.
Born Marsden (Yorks), Enlisted Huddersfield, Resided Marsden.

Private Matthew Henry Liddle. 19544. 10th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Died 24 February 1916.
Born Hetton-le-Hole, Enlisted Houghton-le-Spring, Resided Hetton-le-Hole.

2nd Lieutenant Albert Edward Lord, MM. 12th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mr. and Mrs. David Lord; husband of Maggie Lord, of 1, Brow Lane, Shelf. Born at Halifax. Alternative Commemoration - buried in Shelf Wesleyan Chapelyard. Died of Wounds 29 April 1918. Aged 30.
Buried SHELF (BETHEL) METHODIST CHAPELYARD.
(Curious that Lieutenant Lord is named on the Ploegsteert Memorial, as he clearly has a known grave.)
