The War Memorial outside the Church at Repton, Derbyshire, includes the name of a soldier of the Yorkshire Regiment. The name of this soldier, Private H J Bamford, is also recorded on the Roll of Honour found inside the Church (see below).

Private Henry James Bamford, 33651. 9th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Formerly 228632 R A S C. Killed 20 September 1917.
Born Milton (Derbyshire), Enlisted Church Gresley, Resided Swadlincote.
Buried TYNE COT CEMETERY.
