Riddings War Memorial is in Church Street in front of the Church of St. James. On the memorial is inscribed the name of a single member of the Yorkshire Regiment. We are very grateful to Richard Roberts, <richard@nosnailshere.co.uk>, for providing this information.


Private Walter Edward Amos. 17946. 9th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 10 July 1916.
Born Pennington, Enlisted Nottingham, Resided Alfreton (Derbyshire).
Commemorated Pier and Face 3 A and 3 D, Thiepval Memorial.
