Ther Ripley, Derbyshire, War Memorial is situated in front of All Saints' Church, Church Street, Ripley. There are over 200 names from WW1 commemorated on it including one from the Yorkshire Regiment, Pte. Samuel Gregory.

Private Samuel Gregory. 19365, 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Killed 8 July 1916.
Born Ripley (Derbyshire), Enlisted Ferryhill, Resided West Cornforth.
Commemorated Pier and Face 3 A and 3 D, THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.

In the 1911 Census, Samuel Gregory was a 22 year old coal miner, residing in Corn Close, Coxhoe, Co. Durham. He was the husband of Mary (19).
