The above Roll of Honour is to be found in the reception area of the offices of the Northern Echo in Darlington. The offices are located in Priestgate, but in 2011 the Northern Echo Offices were sold to Debenhams. However, in October 2013 the move by Debenhams into these offices had not taken place, and there appears to be no prospect of this happening in the near future.

Of the several names listed for the First World War, one is that of a soldier who served with the Yorkshire Regiment and who also lost his life while serving..

We are very grateful to Colin Bainbridge of "About Darlington" for providing the photo of the Roll of Honour.
