The Roll of Honour in St. Felix's Church, Felixkirk, contains 92 names of men from the parishes of Felixkirk and Boltby who served in the Armed Forces in the First World War. Of these names, 15 are shown as having lost their lives.
One of these men served in the Yorkshire Regiment. His details are shown below.
However, another man, - Robert Stokell, is shown as having served in the Yorkshire Regiment and been killed. This is an error. Private Robert Stokell, 38252, of the 5th Battalion came from Felixkirk but survived the war. He was taken prisoner in April 1918, and was repatriated at the end of the war. BUT, Ernest Robert Stokell of the Grenadier Guards and also from Felixkirk, was killed in September 1915 aged 19. This soldier ISN'T shown on the Roll of Honour but IS shown on the War Memorial for the village.
