Two men of the Yorkshire Regiment are named on this Roll of Honour as having lost their lives in the First World War.
A third man (R Loynes) is shown as having served in the Yorkshire Regiment and been wounded, though further research shows this soldier to have been in the East Yorkshire Regiment.


Private Charles Godfrey Beane. 1706. 5th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Beane, of Winspers Farm, Northrepps, Norwich. Died at home 14 January 1916. Aged 23.
Born Hewarth (Norfolk), Enlisted Hull, Resided Norwich.
Buried NORTHREPPS (ST. MARY) CHURCHYARD.

Private Frederick George Golden. 235239. 7th Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mrs. S. E. Woodhouse, of Heath Cottage, Northrepps, Norwich. Killed 23 April 1917. Aged 27.
Born North Repps (Norfolk), Enlisted London, Resided North Repps.
Buried DUISANS BRITISH CEMETERY, ETRUN.
