The War Memorial for Sandhutton, North Yorkshire, is located
in St. Leonard's Churchyard, outside the main entrance to the church.
Confusingly, there is another village called Sand Hutton in North Yorkshire
which is near York. To identify the two villages and the two memorials, the
Sandhutton referred to on this page is sometimes shown as Sandhutton (Thirsk).
The memorial commemorates 6 men who lost their lives in the First World War. 4 of these men served with the Yorkshire Regiment.
The names of these men have been transcribed on the GENUKI website. We are very grateful to Colin Hinson who has provided the photos of the memorial. The copyright of these photos remains with Colin Hinson.
