Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Barraclough, of Scarborough;
husband of Emily Mary Barraclough, of 8, Friar's Entry, Scarborough. Killed
5 January 1918. Aged 30.
Born Huddersfield, Enlisted Scarborough.
Buried ST. LEGER BRITISH CEMETERY.
Private William Lake, 4061. 5th Battalion Yorkshire
Regiment. Killed 17 September 1916.
Enlisted Scarborough.
Buried DELVILLE WOOD CEMETERY, LONGUEVAL.
(The name "Frederick W Lake" is shown on the memorial, but there
is no corresponding name of a soldier with connections to Scarborough who
died in the First World War).
